Head of Technical Architect (Software Vendor)
Location: Central London (some WFH)
Salary: circa £130 - £140k plus bonus & great benefitsWe are looking for a Head of Technical Architecture for the London offices of a global software vendor. They have circa 300 product / development staff split across 11 delivery centres worldwide & they are working on the delivery of multiple web based applications. Reporting directly to the CTO they need someone to primarily support their ongoing transition to a microservices architecture & the adoption of leading cloud based technologies.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to the technical leads across the software / product development business unit - dispersed globally but with a focus on US, Indian & European resources.
- Ensure the teams adopt best practice across all product development especially where it comes to their dependence on common microservices and their implementation of continuous delivery.
- Operate at the cutting edge of new technologies, validating their suitability & translating their benefits to the future of the product development activities.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to define product strategy & roadmaps to ensure their scalability, reliability, performance & cost efficiency.
- Previous experience providing architectural direction to multiple software product teams.
- A depth of experience working with microservices based architectures.
- A depth of experience working with API based web applications (multi-tenant) utilising the leading cloud technologies.
- Agile, Agile, Agile.
- Strong knowledge of current technologies & future trends (you'll get to go to all the events!!), especially regarding cloud technologies e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong knowledge of development best practices especially continuous delivery, DevOps etc.
- Someone who fosters a collaborative environment **this is absolutely key**
- High intellect & a focus on continuous learning.
