Excellent career-development opportunity for a Commercial Contracts Specialist and "Deal-Maker" to join a refreshing SME commercial consultancy as Client Services Director

The business is uniquely positioned between Commercial Lawyers and real business people, offering a full range of commercial support services to SMEs, including contract drafting, review and negotiation. Our goal is to help our clients achieve theirs. 

To further our ambitious growth plans we are currently recruiting for a Client Services Director.

The right candidate will have the desire to be part of a vibrant and ambitious business. The role will involve you working with the Client Engagement Director and the CEO to design, lead and execute the company’s retainer proposition, taking it to market and driving opportunities to completion. You will also provide commercial expertise through the company lifecycle for high-growth tech companies. 

Our ideal Client Services Director will:

  • Have a varied background in contract management (both legal and business perspectives) or commercial management, looking to step up into a Board role
  • Be a strategic thinker with first class contract law knowledge and commercial nous
  • Have a successful track record of negotiating complex contracts, delivering great results under pressure while creating workable long-term relationships
  • Be completely client focused - we need client experience to be exceptional
  • Have an innate deal-making instinct and appreciation for the levers of business that drive a successful transaction
  • Think on your feet, quickly understanding the key operational needs of diverse client businesses
  • Be able to develop and improve the capability, quality and efficiency of the consulting team
  • Have the ability to effectively manage people in a kind and supportive manner, while motivating them to bring out their full potential
  • Be able to capitalise on how technology & commercial contracting add value to the business through digital transformation, automation and electronic signatures 
  • Be a natural and confident communicator and engage at all levels
  • Have a highly professional demeanour and high levels of self-motivation

The successful candidate will be based in our client’s bright and attractive offices within a country location in Riseley, near Reading (with no long commute into London!).
