As Head of Strategy, you will support the CEO and Board in formulating and executing strategy for Cambridge University Press. You will develop and provide analysis of strategy plans, business development projects, acquisitions, divestments, and industry trends. Key to success in this role will be creating and maintaining trusted relationships with senior stakeholders globally.

You will develop, facilitate and co-ordinate strategic development plans and projects, providing insight and guidance at the most senior levels of our global business.

This is a senior level role and as such, you will have experience at an executive level of:

  • Strategy development
  • Market research
  • Business development
  • Economic and financial modelling
  • Knowledge of technology trends and the ability to explain their business implications

Knowledge of information industries would be a distinct advantage.

You will be a skilled senior business professional, forward thinking, able to spot things that others may miss, quick to assimilate information and drive projects through using your considerable influencing skills. You are likely to be a high academic achiever with a strong track record in Strategy Consulting. Most importantly, you will be a champion of and role model for our behaviours.

Highly analytical and numerate, you will have strong financial modelling skills.

The role entails providing best practice and thought leadership to colleagues, so you must be able to work well under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines. You will be a great communicator, able to adapt your style according to your audience.
