Our client is an exciting international Media company who are in very strong growth. My client has a highly impressive brand in the sector, being highly successful and award winning. They are now seeking to recruit a high calibre candidate for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to report to a Commercial CFO.
The successful candidate will lead the commercial finance activities and also run the day to day elements of their department including planning; reporting and analysis; budgeting and forecasting. They will support decision making across the organisation and develop new reporting analytical tools. The role will ensure to create a first-class FP&A function and seeking change where applicable. Also, they will be responsible for developing the long-term business plan in line with the business strategy with the CFO and MD.
The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will also be expected to be an effective partner to the business and the board. They will also be responsible to develop the overall relationship between finance and the wider business providing stronger engagement and more positive lines of communication with non-finance. The role requires a leader who will bring energy and passion to this dynamic, diverse and highly acquisitive company. They will need to influence and inspire all levels of the Finance team – the regional Finance teams and the outsourced teams. They will also need to communicate to and influence the Board.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant and will ideally come from a Media, Technology or Digital background. What is important in this person is they will have credibility, initiative and drive; someone with an upward career trajectory and strong track record of success. Candidates need to be adept and comfortable working in a commercial environment. They also need to be skilled working with non-finance.
This role is based in central London (zone 1) paying a very strong six figure basic salary with a very strong benefits package.
