I'm currently recruiting for this fantastic position within a growing boutique hotel business opening it's first site in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Finances in a pre-opening 138-room lifestyle hotel. You will work closely with the General Manager and Hong Kong Headquarters while contributing to the overall achievement of business goals and to the profitability of the Hotel through maintenance of a system of accounting and controls. You will also provide insightful financial analysis to ensure decision-making that optimises the financial results of the hotels.

You will work closely with the General Manager and Hong Kong Headquarters while contributing to the overall achievement of business goals and to the profitability of the Hotel through maintenance of a system of accounting and controls. You will also provide insightful financial analysis to ensure decision-making that optimises the financial results of the hotels.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop organizations financial strategy, including advising the General Manager and Hotel Management Team on all financial matters
  • Identify and implement appropriate accounting systems for the hotel operations
  • Producing the monthly management accounts and year end accounts
  • Providing analytical support to identify cost saving and productivity opportunities
  • Producing accurate forecasts of the costs and revenues of the hotel business
  • Processing both UK and international payments, taking the lead on UK policies and maintaining all aspects of HMRC
  • Performing payroll, VAT returns and Preparing bank reconciliations and analyzing overall finance performance
  • Reviewing supplier statements and inputting systems for accuracy and efficiency of ordering
  • Hiring and training Assistant Financial Controller to support the financial processes

Key Skills required:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified (or overseas equivalent)
  • Experience within hotels in a similar financial position
  • Pre-opening London hotel exposure is preferred
  • Catonese language skills (preferred)
