Based Jersey with regular international travel

This position is at one of the world’s top offshore law firms who have offices in multiple key financial centres and are a top tier, fascinating organisation that never stands still

Reporting to the Group Managing Partner and the Board, attending all Board meetings this crucial hire:

• Takes responsibility for the operational effectiveness of the organisation and the implementation of its strategy
• Manages a team of functional Directors to deliver first class business services support to all offices along with the delivery of annual management processes
• Designs, manages and delivers key projects including new office start-ups, merger evaluation and implementation, team acquisitions and bolt-ons
• Attends and plays an important role at Key Management Forums – Partnership Meetings, Board Meetings, Risk Committee Meetings and Information Security Management Forum’s

Suitable candidates will have:

• Experience at a senior level in a sizable international professional services organisation and experience of a partnership environment - preferably legal
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, innovation and change management were at the forefront of previous roles held
• Experience in the management of substantial growth initiatives (e.g. preferably mergers and green field start ups)
• Operated to board level and have demonstrable leadership qualities together with the tenacity and hands on approach necessary to succeed in a partnership, with an appreciation of the nuances and subtleties of that environment
• A mature, influential disposition – able to demonstrate significant impact through previous COO or equivalent roles, on business partnering relationships with senior management and the Board
• Strong cultural awareness in the international context
