Head of Platform and Infrastructure Services

Head of Platform and Infrastructure Services required by a leading financial services company based in Leeds on an initial 3-month contract paying £700 - £800 per day depending on experience.

Head of Platform and Infrastructure Services will be responsible for establishing infrastructure platform services such as patching as a service, monitoring as a service and database as a service, whilst also enhancing continuous delivery and integration capabilities.

Head of Platform and Infrastructure Services must have the following:

• Experience establishing and running a successful engineering function for a large blue-chip organisation.
• Significant experience in Software and Infrastructure Architecture.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management and Public cloud.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Automation, PowerShell, Chef and Azure Public Cloud.
• Experience of Infrastructure automation.
• Experience of working in DevOps environments.
• Experience with cloud and infrastructure security.
• Experience with design and architecture using modern design patterns in a cloud environment.
• Experience with Cloud models such as Iaas, PaaS and SaaS.
• Relevant Cloud Architecture certifications such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
