Target Start Date: April 19

Term: 3 Months

Location: London, with some UK travel.

Client Description:

Major Transport Group

Background of Assignment:

Due to difficult trading conditions, traditional low margin driven business models and contract arrangements that have been agreed, based on winning bids constructed around higher revenues and unforeseen situations not breaking the cushion/protection layers built in (that ultimately protect the business) the client needs a talented finance director who has specific experience and track record of delivering successful resolution for both parties.

Candidate Profile:

To be considered, candidates will need to be a qualified accountant, have operated as Finance Director within a large corporate and since developed the skills/track record of successfully re-negotiating government contracts, directly with a government body(s). To have gained the necessary skills, it is likely that you will have also spent time within Bid Finance across large service contracts.

Experience of working within Transport, with or for the DfT and specifically on contract re-negotiations, combined with being a Finance Director is a preferred profile, however those who can demonstrate everything but Transport/DfT experience, are invited to apply.

Due to the specific and niche nature of the assignment, I would ask that candidates to consider these requirements carefully before applying.
