Head of Childline
NSPCC, Head of Childline
Location: Any Childline base but with regular travel across the nations and to London
Childline is a vital service, playing an important role supporting young people who have a need to express what they are feeling without fear of repercussion. Childline is currently at a pivotal point in its history. In December 2017, the Board of Trustees approved a Review of Childline which brought together a programme of transformational change, both operationally and culturally. We are now looking for the Head of Childline to join us and make a significant impact and contribution to the current service.
Childline is one of the NSPCC’s national services, which also includes the NSPCC helpline for any adult concerned about the welfare of a child, its “Speak Out, Stay safe” schools service, Contact Centre and Supporter Care, Knowledge and Information Services, Consultancy and Support including the Child Protection in Sport Unit, the Child Trafficking Advice Centre and other professional engagement and safeguarding services.
The Head of Childline will lead the delivery of a quality service that supports children seeking help and assistance. You will be responsible for embedding the programme of transformation for Childline and ensuring it continues to work towards its strategic objectives. We are looking for a dynamic leader to join at this critical time for Childline. If you have experience of working creatively with service users (especially children and young people), with a track record of developing and delivering advice, support or advocacy services through a multi-site contact-centre/advice environment, we would love to hear from you.
