Head of Engineering for a B2B/B2C collaboration platform. Opportunity to define the creation a new global collaboration platform from early on - it's critical to get the foundation right so need an experienced engineering lead with domain experience in messaging/collaboration, and strong skills in all aspects of leading small and medium sized software development teams.

Needless to say, you have a technical background and experience with developing large scale and performant systems. You will be leading our core engineering team across API, iOS, Android and QA teams to take the company and mobile apps which currently serve thousands of users on a daily basis to the next level.

• Be an influencer in discussions around the company strategy and direction
• Responsible for managing, providing guidance/support, mentoring and structuring various team members and to continue to support our collaborative and supportive culture
• Hands on development where needed, ranging from helping the team to meet release dates, resolve bugs, investigate live issues, to discussing technical challenges that help scale systems further
• Participate and contribute to weekly sprints so that projects can be broken down into deliverables and prioritised accordingly
• Bring with you knowledge and expertise around the latest technical tools and development methodologies to shorten development time
• Be involved in the hiring process across the tech function
• Work with the wider team including product managers and owners, UX designers, platform team and customer support.

Profile

Head of Engineering for a B2B/B2C collaboration platform

Extensive experience with hands on software development, preferably as full stack developer.

• Collaborative attitude and superb organizational skills.
• Extensive experience in growing, leading, managing and guiding a technical team.
• Enjoy working individually as well as within a team.
• Technical knowledge and software design to build performant and large scale systems, but also pragmatic and understand the concepts of over-engineering.
• Extensive experience with hands on software development, preferably as full stack developer
• Experience with mobile, web and API platforms.
• In-depth experience in software development languages and data base handling
• Strong written and verbal skills to communicate effectively.
• Problem solving mindset and critical thinking attitude.
• Passionate about the future of digital communication and being part of a fast-growing company that's trying to make a positive mark on the world
