** Interim Director of Group Finance - FTSE 100 **

Based in London, with significant travel (UK & Overseas)

c£1,000 per day

Seeking a heavy weight Group Financial Controller / Senior Director of Group Reporting, working for a Global FTSE Listed Firm. This role would suit a technically strong individual (ACA Trained) operating at a Director or VP Level / Senior Leader with experience of group reporting across complex accounting environments.

This is a very high-profile group finance role, where you will heavily influence Regional FD's, the UK and International businesses and the Group CFO.

You will need to display the following characteristics:

  • Strong Academics, ideally Degree Educated in a Red Brick University
  • ACA Qualified, Significant post qualified experience
  • IFRS - Strong understanding from auditing or reporting for complex / matrix FSTE listed organisations
  • Gravitas - you will need to produce high level commentary and present to Exec Board members
  • Outstanding Communication Skills - able to explain and break down complex data and issues
  • Large Team Management experience (team size 50 - 60 heads)

As the Director of Group Finance you will own and produce External Group Reporting, Global Controls & Regional Accounting.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the team to ensure strong technical foundations across Group
  • To provide technical advice on accounting queries across finance on complex transactions
  • Review accounting papers in support of accounting treatments to the board and external bodies
  • Reviewing changes on new accounting standards, exposure drafts and other reporting requirements to identify impacts to the group
  • Maintenance of the Group Policies manual
  • Support business units to provide accurate and timely information supporting
  • Designing, leading and delivering ad hoc group finance projects and continuous improvement
  • Developing a high-performance global finance team
