The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for developing and leading Employee Relation talent for the EMEA region. This role is accountable for the Recruiting, hiring, retention, evaluating performance, goal setting, performance coaching, management and development of team members. This position is in partnership with ER leaders and provides guidance to HR Business Partners, Business Managers and Senior Management on managing the client's employment risk.

Skills and Experience:

  • Recent and relevant experience providing expertise and specialist skills in and across the Employee Relations field, together with a strong educational background (Degree qualified and above) is required
  • Broad knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures in the EMEA region.
  • Relevant people management experience - developing the models and practices for implementation
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry would be very useful - understanding the sector requirements around compliance and reporting
  • The role needs you to have a solid working knowledge and understanding of EMEA and UK specific Human Resources legislation/employment law, principles, policies, and procedures
  • An ability to exercise good judgement and provide strategic advice to senior management across all business functions, as and when required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

Role and Responsibilities:

You will beproviding insight and interpretation to managers and employees throughout the UK business with regards to relevant employment principles, complex employee relations issues, performance management, workplace investigations and critical incident management. Acts as an integral team member of the Worldwide Employee Relations team on employment matters, providing advice on scenarios with potential risk related to supervision of direct reports, and provides coaching and counselling of Managers and their direct reports. Enforcing equal employment opportunity policies throughout, together with championing new initiatives and programmes to proactively identify and communicate employment and workplace trends (both internally and externally). The role will also see you preparing investigation reports and conducting ongoing analysis of employee relations data to identify trends and to create and develop programs and initiatives that will support strategic efforts to create an ideal work environment.
