Our client is a highly successful, privately owned end to end logistics provider for the automotive sector. With operations across the country they are market leaders with an enviable reputation for service quality and efficiency.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director the Director of Corporate Services (DCS) will be responsible for a range of group functions including Administration, Budgets & Forecasts, MI Reporting, Risk and Compliance, Health and Safety, Fleet and Insurance.

The DCS will also hold the position of Company Secretary and carry out appropriate duties as per statutes and as delegated by the Board and Shareholders.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Ensure timely production of MI reports for the Board and Shareholders
• Monitor, review and control costs/ budgets for all departments and liaise with colleagues as appropriate
• Review all contracts and protect the best interests of the company
• Assist Senior Manager team in preparation of Budgets, Tenders and Projects from a financial and legal standpoint
• Be aware of and actively promote the company’s responsibilities in relation to ISO 9001, approval to ISO 14001 and Health and Safety legislation
• Complete all forms and documents required by Companies House
• Record and Control the company’s Assets
• Ensure IT investment correlates with IT strategy and is duly authorised
• Liaise with the Company’s insurers to ensure protection is in place to minimise risk

This is a high-profile role within the Group. Operating at Board level the successful candidate will have the gravitas and credibility to influence peers and communicate effectively across all departments. You will need to combine a methodical, hands on approach with the ability to think strategically and identify commercial opportunities for the business.

We would welcome applications from experienced professionals with significant exposure to Group Corporate Services, Administration or Company Secretarial duties. Your background could be in the finance/ accountancy, Legal Sector or Co. Sec. disciplines. Sector knowledge is not a pre-requisite, but would be an advantage.
