At HMCTS, we are passionate about justice and committed to protecting the rights of every citizen. Our courts and tribunals underpin the delivery of justice and affect the lives of millions of people every year. Through our criminal, civil and family courts, and administrative tribunals, we ensure that crimes are brought to justice; children are kept safe; business dealings are securely underpinned; and people are protected from mistreatment by the state.

We are exceptionally proud of the services we provide and of the important part they have played in our history as a nation founded on justice, human rights and fairness. We are now transforming to meet the changing demands of the population, and to respond to the technological challenges of a 21st century, making sure our justice system continues to lead the world.

We are delivering a ??1bn programme to completely change what we do, and make our services better for the people who use them. Our programme of reform is already starting to provide entirely new ways to access justice - more than 150,000 people used our new online services last year, with members of the public now able to apply for uncontested divorce, make pleas for low-level offences (such as traffic offences or evading bus fare), respond to jury summonses, track social security appeals, and issue and respond to civil money claims - all online. But this is just the beginning; the vision for the programme covers the whole range of the work of the courts and tribunals, and will also deliver a world-leading 'online court' which will radically simplify the resolution of many disputes.

You could play a vital role in helping to deliver that transformation. Working with a high performing team, you will drive a programme of change to reform the structure and culture of the organisation, providing the professional thrust and pace to achieve outstanding results to scale and time.

If you have a track record of successfully leading IT strategies and enterprise-wide architecture, with experience at scale in a multi-channel business and are looking for an exciting opportunity to deliver and improve an essential public service, then please review our information pack and submit an application by clicking the APPLY button.
