Head of Service - Mental Health

I am currently seeking a candidate for an interim Head of Service, Mental Health within Adult Social Care. This will be working for a local authority in the North East on a 6-month assignment, paying up to £600 per day. You will be responsible for managing the mental health team within the authority and reporting directly to the assistant director of adults.

The authority is looking for a candidate that fits the following:

• Significant experience within social care, specifically adult's mental health
• Developing and operationally managing the AMHP service and mental health lead on MAPPA, and the Court Diversion Panel.
• Strong leadership skills whilst managing a motivated team

• Experience of financial / budget management
• Extensive experience of strategic partnership working with other agencies
• Experience of change management
