Finance Director

Robert Walters is working with a market leading manufacturing business currently looking to hire a Finance Director to join its business. It is a highly entrepreneurial PE backed business, with a strong reputation in its industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide timely, accurate and commercially focused management information to the Managing Director
• Manage the day to day financial activities including; preparation of month end accounts, VAT returns, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and year end statutory accounts
• Implement and maintain all financial controls and systems within the business, identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures
• Cash flow forecasting and management
• Support the Managing Director to produce and issue the Monthly Board Packs
• Play a key role in the preparation and presentation of forecasts and budgets
• Lead and project manage the implementation of a new ERP system
• Key involvement with the annual budget process
• Support business development initiatives, as required
• Oversee the Human Resources, IT and Finance function, ensuring the development of a collaborative and well-networked culture

Skills and abilities:

• Must be a fully qualified accountant - ACA / CIMA / ACCA
• A demonstrable track record of coaching and developing a team.
• Hands on cash and working capital management experience
• Experience of developing and delivering financial models
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution organisation with an understanding of stock management
• Practicing exponent of Microsoft Office software
