High Performing Asset Management - Head of Investor Relations - London An exciting Asset Management Firm based in the heart of London, is currently looking to hire a Head of Investor Relations. On the back of a strong performance, the firm is looking for a highly technical individual to head up the investor relations and business development functions of the firm. The current client-base is exclusively North American institutionally focused, and as such, the role will be to liaise with the existing base of investors, in addition to attracting more in this region. There is, however, a strong pipeline of clients interested to invest, so having a large rolodex here is not essential. As such the firm are ideally looking for candidates who have a strong equities background (either sell side or buy side researcher/analyst) so that strategy can be relayed in a highly technical veil. Responsibilities: Lead the fundraising for the long/short European equity strategy. Providing an excellent Investor Relations service to existing North American institutional clients. On-board new US institutional clients with a technical and direct approach based on a technical understanding of the strategy. Create, prepare and deliver highly technical pitches which demonstrate a detailed understanding of the strategy. Travel to the United States occasionally to strengthen relationships with the existing client base and to win new business. Implementing an exciting strategy to ensure a successful fundraise. Requirements Experience with equities on the sell side or on the buy side as a researcher or analyst. Experience in a client-facing role with US institutional clients on the buy-side. A self-starter, able to work independently and part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure.
