Our client is a world leading entertainment company and media powerhouse. They are currently embarking on a vast data transformation programme and as a result, are building out a new data management team. Hence they would like to hire someone with demonstrable leadership skills building and managing high performing data teams (20 - 25). As the leader of this function, you need to be both technical and commercially driven and have a strong focus on practical & pragmatic use of data. Objectives: Act as point of contact for the Cloud data platform for the team and business functions Define and execute the roadmap for the transition of data into the Cloud Data Warehouse platform Develop and deploy a low-cost maintenance operating model for the Cloud Platform Responsibilities include: Define and revise the roadmap for the transition of the UK data into the platform Develop a data management process framework for the efficient acquisition, modelling and processing of data including Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data and reporting and analysis with attention to the technical and policy aspects Formulate management techniques for governance and quality data to ensure accuracy and legitimacy of data and its appropriate use Deploy a metadata management capability with robust processes and controls Develop the data engineering capability in line with the analytical requirements and expectations from the data and analytics function Requirements: Technical expertise on a wide range of cloud environments and tools for data modelling, cloud platform administration including costing Strong Database skills including DBA, SQL optimisation and data modelling Experience on GCP (BigQuery, GCS, Datalab, Dataproc, Cloud ML, Tensorflow) or Amazon cloud technology #LI-RB1
