Folk2Folk offer straightforward, local, peer to peer lending. We match Lenders with local businesses looking for finance to grow, develop or diversify.

We are leading a Local Lending Movement by enabling Lenders to support local UK businesses to grow, driving positive impacts in local and rural communities, creating job opportunities, and contributing to the UK economy.

Our Head Office is based in Launceston, Cornwall.

About the roles

We are looking to appoint 2 Independent Non-Executive Directors to join our Board of Directors.

For one role we would like to encourage applications with extensive knowledge and experience in financial services at a strategic level.

For our second position we are looking for operations and IT knowledge with the specific experience of developing the use of technology to improve organisational effectiveness.

To be successful in being shortlisted you will have the seniority and stature, along with impeccable credentials, to enhance the experience of the current Board.

For both roles, proven success of driving business growth is essential together with a sound understanding of the peer to peer sector.

You will also be able to demonstrate success in your area of specialism and of a regulatory business environment.

Experience of strategic decision making at senior level and the ability to provide, challenge, and help to our Board to evaluate strategic options for the continuing growth and development of Folk2Folk.

The credibility and external networks to help build the ethos and reputation of Folk2Folk.

A questioning mind combined with sound judgement.

The ability to draw on a wealth of experience and to consider a wide range of factors when making strategic decisions.

A strong communicator with the interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and develop effective relationships.

A clear interest and ability to offer a broad contribution to the Board in its deliberations and strategic decisions.

Remuneration and commitment

£6,000 per annum for a commitment of a minimum of one day a month.

Board meetings are held quarterly in Cornwall.
