A Finance Director is required for a leading bulk Logistics Service Provider to the Chemical, Gas, Polymer and (Dry Bulk) Food Industry. Den Hartogh Logistics knows the value of networks and partnerships, and therefore seeks to develop SMART logistic solutions together with its customers and suppliers. The family-run organisation was established in 1920 and has its headquarters in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Den Hartogh has a presence in every region of the world, with over 1500 employees in 36 different locations. It's state of the art equipment includes over 19,100 tank containers, 6,700 containers, 400 tank trailers and 530 trucks.

To support Den Hartogh Dry Bulk in realising their ambitions, they have a great opportunity for a full time Finance Director to be based from their Hull office but will also have EMEA scope.

As the Finance Director, you will report directly to the Business Unit Director Dry Bulk and be a member of the senior management team. As Finance Director you are responsible for the efforts, results and success of the financial department while providing financial advice and support to help make key decisions.


Responsibilities:

·Provide leadership to the Business Unit Dry Bulk Finance and Accounting strategy, to optimize the financial performance and strategic position.

·Lead, inspire and develop the Financial Department, while working closely with your direct reports: Finance Controller and the Manager Accounting & Administration.

·Form a close working relationship with the Business Unit Dry Bulk management team and support the growth of the business & formulate sound strategies.

·Contribute fully to the development of the Business Unit strategy across all areas of the business, challenging assumptions and decision making as appropriate and providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, targets and business drivers.

·Ensure that the Business Unit financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth.

·Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.

·Present annual accounts to CFO.

·Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.

Qualifications, experience & skills will be;

·Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.

·Meet the requirement for a commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, dynamic, insightful and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

·Demonstrates integrity and a passion for developing talent and succession planning

·Exceptional communication skills at all levels.

·Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies.

·Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.

·High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.

·Energetic, highly motivated, with and enquiring mind and passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
