Business Accountabilities
Accountable for the development and execution of the Retail marketing strategy.
Accountable for development and execution of the Retail pricing strategy.
Accountable for delivery of retail sales through physical and digital channels.
(Each in line with the organisation’s overall objectives and strategy)
Business Area Responsibilities:
- Contributes to the formulation of strategy and policy as a member of the Executive team
- Develops and effectively delivers the Retail Marketing, Pricing and Digital Sales strategies
- Delivers the commercial aims of the business whilst balancing the needs of our customers and partners
- Collaborates with Product Director to ensure product strategy is supported and delivered
- Represents company at partner/customer trading forums
- Manages a robust internal control framework that meets all regulatory and compliance requirements
Principal Tasks:
- Contributes to the strategic planning and development to deliver profitability and growth of the business
- Presents and delivers high quality strategic recommendations in support of business goals and ensures the required processes, infrastructure and resources are in place
- Creates and delivers Retail Marketing, Pricing and Digital sales operating plans to deliver Board approved P&L targets
- Defines and develops innovative marketing propositions to support overall strategic direction in conjunction with the partner
- Takes ownership and responsibility for revenue levels and profitability of Retail product sales
- Instigates, analyses and interprets detailed customer analysis, market research and data modelling to develop Sales and Pricing propositions
- Ensures that all regulatory risk and compliance matters are identified and actively managed
- Creates and delivers a clear vision for the directorate and provides high quality leadership and management to their team members
Ideal Candidate Profile
Knowledge/Experience:
- Significant experience of managing the P&L of a medium/large business, sector open
- Marketing, pricing and digital experience at strategic level
- Experience of relationship management with B2B customers and partners
- Track record of affecting and delivering change
- The ability to develop Board level business cases/papers
- Experience presenting at Board level
Qualifications/Education/Training required:
- Related professional qualification
