About the role:
This is a chance to secure a position within a dynamic and fun start-up environment. As our Finance Director, you will be instrumental in defining and executing the financial strategy as a key team player within the Finance and Accounting Team. The role involves a lot of responsibility and accountability within the Company.

Your key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:
♣ Taking control of the Finance Function in a broad sense being able to roll up sleeves and come down to trenches. Leading the full Finance process, involving multiple channels and stakeholders, ensuring the strategy & planning is on point
♣ Producing monthly consolidated management reports with three main forms (P&L, BS, indirect CFS), doing variance analysis of reported figures against budgeted, calculating the set of KPIs. Production of consolidated management reports implies a transformation of accounts of the Russian entity into those prepared under IFRS or the UK GAAP.
♣ Reviewing statutory reports and tax returns of both entities, British and Russian, and resolving issues with British and Russian Tax Authorities, if any
♣ Executing in-depth supervising of outsourced bookkeeping function of the UK and Russian entities, screening out accounting errors, if any, and making sure all transactions are categorised properly, accounting books reflect complete picture of the Company's activity, all accruals are made, and all allowance and provisions are accounted for
♣ Maintaining Revenue schedules on invoice-to-invoice basis, making sure Deferred Revenue, Accrued Income, Trade Receivables are properly calculated
♣ Being responsible for Treasury function and cash management, making everyday payments for both entities, producing monthly cash flow plans for the Russian entity and reconciling it with the stakeholders within the Company, issuing invoices to customers, effecting financial control
♣ Responsible for continuous building and maintaining the financial model of the Company
♣ Building and maintaining annual, monthly forecasts, updating it and tracking changes
♣ Reporting to various investors and stakeholders on monthly and quarterly basis, filling in ad-hoc forms and providing required figures to them
♣ Being responsible for the annual audit of the annual financial statements, coordinating the work of auditors and employees of the Company
♣ Reviewing quarterly VAT tax returns, corporate profit tax returns and ensuring tax planning of the Company is done properly and all deadlines are met
♣ Fully involved in negotiations with VC debt providers and equity investors, being the only source of financial information to them
♣ Carrying out analysis of Company's system of internal controls and efficiency of business processes
♣ Making appraisal and providing feedback to support investment or CAPEX decisions based on DCF technique
♣ Developing the strategy of the Finance and Accounting function, ensuring it underpins the business strategy of the Company and answers all its needs and challenges
♣ Continuously raising the Company's expert profile in the field of SaaS industry-specific KPIs
About You:
♣ For this role we are looking for a senior finance professional (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CFA) who has a strong B2B tech (ideally - FinTech/ RegTech) experience and a proven track record of successfully executed activities (recommendations). You're an A-player who enjoys delivering results, has a passion for innovative technology and continuous learning
♣ Fluency in both spoken and written Russian, so a candidate can understand the meaning of contracts and supporting documents, can discuss and resolve issues with Russian accountants, Tax Authorities, bank employees
♣ Strong knowledge of the UK GAAP, IFRS and Russian GAAP, practical skills in producing consolidated financial statements of several entities in multi-currency environment
♣ Strong skill set in financial modelling and various appraisal techniques
♣ Substantial experience and proven record in successfully leading and executing a finance function
♣ Strong organisation and planning skills, with exceptional attention to detail
♣ Strong verbal and written communication skills
♣ Good digital skill-set, experienced user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
♣ Familiar with such accounting platforms and tools as: Xero, Russian 1C, Kontur, NetSuite, MS Dynamics
♣ Excellent teamwork skills, as well as the ability and confidence in working autonomously
♣ Preferably background in accounting and audit. Working for a Big 4 firm will be a plus
♣ Experience working with markets outside London and the UK (Russia and CIS, EU, SEA), knowing their specifics
♣ Ability to operate in a multi-tasking agile environment
