THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Be accountable to the Board for the oversight of the Bank-wide risk management framework. Developing, maintaining and updating the Bank's risk management framework policy and risk appetite statement and evaluating these on a regular basis. Ensuring that the data used by the Bank to assess its risks are fit for purpose in terms of quality, quantity and breadth. Identifying material, individual, aggregate and emerging risks and assessing these risks and measuring the Bank's exposure to them. Supporting the Board in its implementation, review and approval of the Bank wide risk governance framework, which includes the Bank's risk culture, risk appetite and risk limits. Maintaining and updating as required the Bank's Risk Matrix. Maintaining an early warning or trigger system for breaches of the Bank's risk appetite or limits. Ensuring adequacy of risk information, risk analysis and risk training provided to the Bank's Board. Preparing the Bank's ICAAP document, and then subsequently presenting to the Risk Committee and Board for approval, and thereafter maintaining and updating same as required. Preparing the Bank's ILAAP document, and then subsequently presenting to the Risk Committee and Board for approval, and thereafter maintaining and updating same as required. Preparing the Bank's Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack, and then subsequently presenting to the Risk Committee and Board for approval, and thereafter maintaining and updating same as required. Preparing the Bank's Pillar 3 disclosure and then subsequently presenting to the Risk Committee and Board for approval. Challenging any business strategic plans that exceed the Bank's risk appetite and tolerance. Report to senior management at Board, Risk Committee and ALCO as appropriate on all risk items. Preparing all the necessary reports such as Risk Dashboard, Risk Register, and Risk Appetite. Operating to the highest standards and ensure compliance with FCA/PRA conduct rules for individuals. Understanding and complying with the Bank's policies and procedures for countering, money-laundering, terrorist financing and financial crime. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Comprehensive knowledge of Risk Management. Up to date knowledge of risk management practices and risk management related prudential regulation. Deep knowledge of UK regulatory and prudential requirements, CRD lV regulation (and EBA related guidelines) and Basel ll / lll agreements Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
