Job Details
Scope and Responsibilities:
- Identify and filter M&A targets in line with business strategy
- Lead the market scans for any M&A targets
- Be a key member of due diligence and the transaction phases
- Support the CS&MO to prepare materials to update the management team on the company's progress versus its mission, goals, and key initiatives
- Keep track of long-range trends and cycles of the business and industry
- Advise the executive team on key strategic decisions for the company in the short and long-term
- Support the implementation of the growth strategies, working closely with BUs and PMCs on specific high-level initiatives, as well as being a thought partner to both BUs and PMCs for the on-going initiatives defined in the BSD
- Be owner of the overall "strategy on a page" materials for the business overall as well as for the PMC-specific outcomes
2019 Objectives:
- Lead the scan and filtering of M&A opportunities for the business
- Identify Deal Thesis, and opportunities with the target companies
- Lead the DD efforts, together with the resources from other functions assigned as needed
- Lead the M&A group updates
Experience:
- Professional work experience of 3-4 years in Investment Banking or Corporate M&A, preferred in pharmaceutical, chemical or health care industry
- Experience in strategy, business development or M&A in a global organization
- Strong knowledge and understanding of businesses and markets
- Due diligence work experience
