Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage the client engagements start-to-end so that deliverables are high quality and provide excellent client service.
• Reviewing our technical analytic scripts and outputs (SQL / PowerBI / Qlikview), as well as drafting client-facing reports ready for review by the engagement leader.
• Coordinate the delivery of engagement work including resourcing staff, time management, budget management, and provide timely updates to the engagement leader and client.
• Coach junior team members by providing a supporting role that helps to foster both personal and team development.
• Identify potential data analytical solutions and approaches to a given scenario (knowledge of any of the following is desirable: business process analysis; financial control analysis; forensic investigation; revenue, cost and margin analysis; customer segmentation; sensitivity analysis; ERP analytics.)
• Understand available datasets at external clients and determine relevant data required for analysis.
• Work effectively with external clients to arrange the secure transfer (ETL / SQL) and collection of data.
• Transform client data and write analytical scripts to be applied to data.
• Identify and apply relevant data quality and control checks across all our analytical procedures.
• Work with Data team to produce results in an engaging and visual way for stakeholders (PowerBI / Qlikview / SSRS desirable).
• Clearly communicate our approach and results to internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in written reports.
• Document work performed that would enable a knowledgeable independent reviewer to re-perform our work.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of business process transaction cycles (e.g. Procure to Payables, Order to Cash, Forecast to Fulfil) and core financial data (e.g. Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory, Staff Expenses, General Ledger)
• Familiarity with the concepts of a financial audit and understanding of control environments
• Managerial experience managing data projects or data client work
• Experience in data matching, data profiling and data transformation
• Experience using SQL suite of software including the build of ETLs and analytical scripting
• Experience in some (not necessarily all) of the following: business process analysis; financial control analysis; forensic investigation; revenue, cost and margin analysis; customer segmentation; sensitivity analysis; ERP analytics
• Confident communicator and self-motivating
• Tenacious problem solving ability

Desirable:

• Experience with data visualisation software (PowerBI or QlikView preferred)
• MS SQL Server Database Administration, SSIS, SSAS
• Enterprise level infrastructure exposure
• Knowledge of database schema design and implementation
