This is a rare opportunity for a proven high quality business leader with gravitas and commercial awareness to grow and further develop this well established flagship business. It has an existing successful network of dealership sites and has a long-standing and excellent relationship with its brand whose pipeline of new product offerings is very exciting. It is fully committed to customer service and has built its business upon its core values around honesty, integrity and respect for colleagues. It has a significant profitable turnover, is privately owned and has plans for real growth over the next few years.

Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive and business owner, a key requirement is to achieve profitable market share growth through leading an experienced team to higher levels of performance within the framework of the company’s core values. Ideally candidates should bring deep general management experience gained in a leading brand motor retail environment. You will have been trained in a large group and have real strengths in retail sales, team leadership, the utilisation of advanced management systems and information, staff motivation, training and support and importantly proven P&L accountability. You will need to be on an upward trajectory in your career and understand the importance of maintaining brand values and an excellent working relationship with the OEM. 

To some extent our client is open minded and has some flexibility on specific sector experience as their main priority is to find a proven business leader with the entrepreneurial and professional skills necessary for success in a specialist retail environment such as this. The client is looking to make this a long term appointment and is offering a genuine opportunity to achieve great things with this very good business. The base salary is negotiable in six figures plus other benefits including a car and there is a willingness to reward success in the long term. You will be expected to live in the North region.
