Operations Director

Our client is a well respected and leading manufacturer of highly technical mechanical precision components and systems. They have been at the forefront of technological advances for the last 50 years. Their products are used Internationally across the worlds leading Universities, major research institutions, NASA and the European Space Agency.

The Role:

• Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for leading and delivering all aspects of operations, which includes, production & production planning, quality, EH&S, facilities, purchasing & logistics.
• Working with other areas of the business to ensure quality products, customer satisfaction and OTD is achieved. Driving improvements across operations and supporting the delivery of the business strategy.

The Person:

• Ideally Degree educated in a Mechanical Engineering discipline or similar.
• Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with operational responsibility across production, planning, logistics, projects and facilities.
• Experience in precision parts in production series or bespoke process involving CNC machining, turning, milling and assembly of precision parts with practical experience of assembly techniques. Experience of ISO 9001, QMS and Lean processes and tools.
