Some roles give you influence. Others give you variety. A few even give you the chance to improve people’s lives. This one will give you all three – and much more besides.
As a Non-Executive Director at Quantum Care, you will help build on the quality performance and good reputation of our existing 26 residential homes for older people across Hertfordshire, Essex and Bedfordshire, support our new multiyear programme of home improvements and new care home developments and contribute to our ongoing commitment to service development, operational efficiency and constant care improvement. It’s all about improving our decisions, shaping our strategic direction and delivering results that have a direct impact on the welfare of our 1,500 residents at a time of significant organisational development.
To contribute effectively, you will need a passion for improving health and social care at a local level and a real interest in meeting the care needs of older people. You must also be able to demonstrate an understanding of risk management and strategic planning, together with commercial experience and the ability to bring this into a not-for-profit organisation.
The Board has identified that it is particularly interested in attracting candidates with one of the following sets of skills and experience:
- Health and adult social care
- Property development and financing
- IT and technology implementation
Previous Board experience is desirable but not essential. Candidates who do not have Board experience, but who meet the required criteria in all other ways, will be considered. However, the current Chair will be stepping down in late 2020 so the Board would like to appoint at least one new non-executive director with the interest in and potential to take on this role.
The NED roles are unpaid; however, our chair role is remunerated. You are likely to live in or close to one of the counties which we serve.
