Group Financial Controller - Deputy CFO

We are delighted to be working in Retained Partnership with a highly respected Brand in Yorkshire. With growing revenues of £600m+, the business is undertaking a number of exciting projects that have led to this role being created. My client are also looking to identify someone with the potential to become CFO in the next 3-5 years.

Reporting to the FD, you will also assume day to day responsibility for the Group Finance function. You will also be responsible for managing all external stakeholders including Banking Relationships & Auditors. It is important that you are able to support and deputise for CFO and deal directly with the main board with ad-hoc requirements. Previous FC experience will be essential for this role.

As Succession Planning is so key to this role, the ideal candidate will have a variety of experience including having already held Senior Finance Leadership roles at both Group Finance & Divisional Level.

The ideal candidate will ideally be ACA (Big 4 Trained) Qualified with demonstrable experience at a senior level. You must have be able to demonstrate a track record of team development and ability to manage at all levels, be committed, commercially aware with good communication skills. The ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent influencing skills will also be key.

You must also be able to demonstrate strong leadership ability and an excellent track record of success within a senior finance role in industry. Ideally you will have a good degree of creativity and be able to bring suggestions to the table on financial controls, revenue generating ideas & cost transformation.
