An independent, Mayfair based infrastructure fund has created a new Compliance Officer opportunity. They have recently closed their fourth fund and the firm is going from strength to strength. The majority of the firm's employees are London based but there are small offices in North America and Europe.
This is a new hire - you will be the firm's first dedicated compliance hire and will be expected to work closely with one of the Managing Partners who is also a lawyer and the current CF10.
This will be an all-encompassing, generalist compliance role spanning compliance policies and procedures, compliance monitoring, ongoing project work and regulatory development (GDPR, SMCR), KYC for transactions, PA dealing and Gifts & Entertainment. You will also be expected to cover basic, non-transactional legal work; NDAs, contracts, supplier agreements etc.
The ideal candidate will have generalist compliance experience from a buy-side environment. You will have both legal experience and a legal qualification (a law degree would suffice). It's very likely as the firm grows that you will take on the control functions. Basic salary will be in the £110k-£140k region plus pension, bonus and other benefits. CVs and enquiries to James Willacy at Austin Andrew.
