Their client portfolio is diverse; covering everything from innovative start-ups through to blue-chip corporations. Their national coverage and reputation as a market leading and cutting edge business underpins their ambitious strategy.
The CFO will be working alongside the CEO, Board, Investors, and other external stakeholders, whilst also being across the detail, developing a strong understanding of the business. Experience of leading a robust organic and M&A growth strategy would be advantageous as the company continue to build ahead of their impending exit, as would previous experience of operating in a private equity-backed environment or a business going through a significant corporate event.
Whilst confidently credible with external stakeholders, the CFO will also be involved in the day to day leadership of the finance team to ensure best practice across financial control and to improve the quality of management information and commercial decision making. It will be critical that acquisitions are seamlessly integrated, regulations are adhered to, cashflow forecasting and working capital management are all successfully managed by the CFO.
The role requires a qualified finance professional with the commercial acumen to drive controlled, profitable growth. More importantly our client wishes to source an individual with exceptional personal qualities; the environment is fast, fun and focussed, in order to be successful in this business the CFO will have to demonstrate, flair, charisma and outstanding leadership/communication skills together the intellect to solve problems, create new ways of operating and identify commercial opportunities for performance transformation and improvement.
There is no template/formulaic profile for this role, your exact sector experience is not a key driver of interest, we will consider candidates moving from an M&A advisory background or PE alongside those operating at a senior level in industry. Our primary goal is to attract outstanding talent.
There will be a significant six figure salary, bonus and benefits together with an equity opportunity that will provide a genuine and substantial wealth creation opportunity. The role can be based in London or Nottingham.
