Head of HR Shared Services

Our client is one of the largest industrial services companies in the world with a UK workforce of c6,000 employees and sites throughout the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland. They are looking for an experienced HR professional to take responsibility for creating a customer centric environment for its Business Leaders and Managers, to further develop the current HR Services Department.
The individual will take professional leadership and management of all matters relating to the internal HR Shared Services team, including payroll, HR advice, a help desk and HR administration team, as well as responsibility for leading on pay and reward programmes, across the various businesses. You will also work closely with the Head of HR Partnering and the Business Partner team, who work at the frontline of the business, alongside the Leaders and Managers, who rely on the internal HR Shared Services team to deal proactively with advice and administration.
A skilled influencer, you will collaborate with the Business Partners, Leaders and Managers to support HR issues, incidents and initiatives. This broad based role will deliver daily core HR administration services and first line employee advice on a broad range of subjects, including employee relations, employment contracts and payroll administration, ensuring that employee data is “right first time”. Also, drive the design and development of pay reward and policy, which attracts and retains talent to the business.
An HR operations generalist, you may possibly be from a background in construction, chemical, Oil & Gas or industrial service sectors and will have a proven track record of leading large teams within HR Shared Services disciplines, as well as relevant experience in the successful management of major complex change projects. Ideally CIPD qualified, you will be commercially astute and have the personality and maturity to quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships, to inspire confidence within the senior management and HR teams.
Located in South Yorkshire, our client is looking for a permanent Head of HR Shared Services, they are also looking for immediate interim with a view to possibly moving into the role permanently at a later date.
