Our client is one of the largest B2B service providers in the UK. They provide both in-house and consultancy style services to blue chip clients. There has been an internal restructure in the Head Office and an upskilling of the finance function and to facilitate further improvements, we are seeking a Group Systems Accountant to own the Group consolidation system, Hyperion Financial Management (“HFM”). 

The Group Systems Accountant is a member of the Group Finance Team, reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller. The Group Finance Team is responsible for the internal & external reporting, taxation compliance, treasury management, and the maintenance of the Group’s accounting policies & financial internal control environment. The Systems Accountant will also be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of technology solutions for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Finance operations for the Group. You will be able to develop and provide training for users of HFM internally, own implementation of any new requirements across the Group. The incumbent will also need to identify areas of best practice amongst the sector and recommend improvements to the design of HFM and ensure consistency across divisions and ERP systems.

The successful candidate will ideally be an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with demonstrable knowledge of accounting and finance gained in a corporate.  Experience of substantial HFM systems, preferably gained within listed groups, is essential and HFM implementation, including design, training and transition to business as usual would be ideal. You will need to be concise, analytical and able to provide informative reporting under tight deadlines. Strong Excel skills including macro building are required, as are interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels across the business. The successful candidate will a hardworking individual who can deliver high quality work and will ultimately be driven, ambitious and demonstrate a desire for progression within the Group.
