Finance Director

Millfield is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding schools. 

On an extraordinary 240-acre campus with outstanding facilities, Millfield has inspired generations of pupils to immerse themselves in academic study, culture and sport and to realise their intellectual, creative and physical potential.  Millfield Prep, found in the historic town of Glastonbury, boasts 160 acres. Today, the School offers an exceptional, all-round education to over 1,700 pupils aged 2-18.

The Head and Governors of Millfield are now looking to appoint a Finance Director who will lead the financial and operational management of the School, and play an integral role in developing the School’s strategy. This is a broad role, and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate a proven record of accomplishment in strategic and operational financial management gained at a senior level over a number of years. This person will have a proven track record of effective senior leadership, including the management of large teams, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Applications are encouraged from candidates from a broad range of sectors who have strong commercial skills, but a commitment to and empathy with the wider educational and charitable mission of the School will be essential.
