Our client, SRLV is an independent well-established Firm of chartered accountants and business advisors who are seeking to appoint their first COO to lead and guide them in achieving operating efficiencies, increase profitability and to set a clear strategy.

The firm is now one of the top 40 firms in the UK with 15 partners and 130 staff.

You will be proactive and practical, able to engender respect within the Firm, with sufficient authority to get things done and successfully lead operational change initiatives.

  • Work with the Executive Committee partners to plan and manage the development of the firm, its resources and operations
  • You will have the authority and autonomy to achieve the Firm’s goals and objectives, including improved operating efficiencies and enhanced profitability
  • Ensure that best practice initiatives are optimised, efficient for the size of the firm and are consistent with the culture and values of the firm
  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget and manage the Firm’s accounts ensuring that working capital management is effective
  • Take overall responsibility for ensuring the delivery of high calibre and cost effective business support services
  •  Develop, agree and monitor Partner KPIs 

Suitable candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong financial, budgeting and analytical skills
  • COO/CFO level experience and ability within a professional partnership i.e. chartered accountants, law firm or property partnership
  • Credible from day one with equity partners, and support staff, able to influence and articulate plans at all levels
  • You will evidence that you have identified and analysed complex issues and problems in management areas and have recommended and implemented change.
  • It is essential that candidates have presence, credibility and personal integrity, with an easy ability to influence and drive change through the strength of relationships they build
  • Candidates must have strong and transparent communication skills
