My client is a telecoms service provider that has grown rapidly over the last twenty years through providing exceptional customer service and putting people at the heart of everything they do. They treat clients, staff and suppliers with the utmost respect and this has led to a highly successful and profitable company that has won numerous awards for the way they do business and the values that they live by. As part of their continuing expansion they now wish to hire a Senior Business Development Manager to join an established and stable new business team.

The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for targeting new corporate accounts in the medium-sized enterprise space. He or she will identify opportunities, either from marketing leads or through their own research and networking activity, and will manage those opportunities through bid and onto closure. Services will include cloud services, complex networking solutions, managed services and professional services as well as simple voice and data. Working closely with pre-sales technical teams, the Senior Business Development Manager will lead a small, agile virtual team to ensure that the customer has a first-class solution delivered in the quickest possible timescale.

The successful candidate will have experience of strategic selling in the telecoms and datacoms environment but does not need to be a technical expert. He or she will have experience of identifying opportunities and taking them onto successful closure with a track record of achieving sales targets. Applicants need to be highly self-motivated and driven by a desire to provide an exceptional service to their clients and their colleagues. This person will be a true team-player who values integrity and professionalism.

The role is home-based with UK travel.
