This is a newly created Finance Director position for a well established and very successful Investment business, based in the West End.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a classic Finance Director position with a highly commercial element, in that you will be the business partner to the c-suite and provide meaningful support and input in to the commercial development and growth of the business. We need an experienced FD that can see the business through the numbers.

Key Elements of the Role:

- Responsible for all Financial Reporting and Control of a medium-sized business

- Managing a team of 4 qualified accountants and playing a big part in their personal / professional development

- Provide a detailed review of business performance and analyse all commercial elements to support decision making across the senior leadership team

- Work closely with the investment team to identify and execute growth opportunities

- Enhance and implement a leading MI function across the business

- Help enhance the part Finance plays in the commercial success of the business

- Oversee all ICAAP & ILAAP regulatory reporting requirements

- Lead preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts

- Increase automation and efficiency of financial processes

- Be the lead Finance representative on Risk & Compliance Committees

- Strengthen and implement more robust internal controls

- Take on all ad-hoc project duties as well as your role as a BAU FD

- Must have the confidence and presence to be able to lead and influence senior leaders of the Group

Experience Needed:

- Must be a fully qualified Accountant, ideally from a Big 4 (or top 10) Practice

- Experience within either Asset or Wealth Management, Corporate Finance, Banking or Private Equity is essential

- At least 7 Years PQE within the Financial Services sector

- Strong degree (2.1 or above) from a recognised institution

- Strong, confident leadership qualities are a must

- Credibility and the ‘bedside' manor to be able to influence at the highest possible level
