My Client is a recognised brand within their sector.
With the recent appointment of a Group CEO the business is making huge strides forward and already have a strong order book, which is split both domestically and overseas.
Description
To select an Approved Supply Base with key focus on product cost, quality and delivery.
To manage and develop the relationship between my Client and its suppliers, providing the only commercial interface between both parties.

- Supplier Relationship Management Reviews
- Monitor Raw Material Index
- Cost Down Initiatives/Commercial Initiatives
- Implementation of Change Management
- Improve Supplier Communication
- Global Sourcing integration and implementationDevelop long term strategic partnership by working with the supplier to reduce cost, improve quality, develop the product and introduce new innovation
- Establish Supply Contract / Partnership Supply Contract with all Suppliers, managing all risks
- Conduct structured and regular review meetings to focus on key aspects of all commercial issues and Supplier Development / Continuous Improvement Programmes
- Clearly identify scope of supply with clear commodity categorisation to lead Global Sourcing
- Ensure close liaison with Design Engineering/Applications with close involvement to cascade performance criteria from the Head Sales Contract into the Supply Base making a "back to back" no risk solution
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet business needs
- Develop effective working relationships with all departments within the business forging strong links with the Supply Base
- Ensure that key objectives / targets are met on time
- Timely and concise issue of monthly report
Profile:
- Proven track record, operating already as a experienced procurement professional
- Must have managed a team previous and be able to demonstrate developing team talent
- Ability to influence and build relationships with challenging stakeholder and suppliers
- Must have worked in a manufacturing environment, ideally project driven and exposure to sub contract manufacturing
- Multi-site procurement exposure would be preferred
- Be able to credibly communicate at all levels
Job Offer
£45,000 - £55,000 plus package
