This is an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Manager to ensure that parts, materials and tools are available in the different locations where my client's maintenance operations are carried out and will deliver a high level of service. The role will also entail planning, inventory management, warehousing.

Based in East London, my client is the most well-known high speed train in England, having carried over 150 million passengers.

Description:

  • In charge of 2 teams: Material planning and Logistics:
    • Responsible for the efficiency of the overall supply chain, the inventory control, H&S, supplier relationships, the material planning, the logistics operations, the parts-material-tools availability
  • Supply chain integration, communication and compliance

Profile

Essential:

  • Experience in supply chain planning, forecasting, Purchasing and logistics
  • Operational Supplier Management
  • Previous experience of team management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Wide business experience in operational supply chain and understanding of key success parameter
  • Able to work under pressure and motivated for progressing quickly

Desirable:

  • Experience from the field of MRO, engineering, manufacturing
  • Supply Chain Improvement
  • APICS/CPIM qualified or equivalent (i.e. Degree)
  • French
