Head of Portfolio Analytics

Location: City of London

Salary: ??95,000 + Bonus + Pension

Company Description: Our client is an exciting niche wholesale funded lender, currently using market-leading technology to change the face of UK lending markets. The fast-paced working environment requires an independent and highly motivated individual to manage the credit risk function of the business. You will report directly to the director of risk and will have direct involvement in the development of products, forecasting and identification of idle opportunity. You will be working across varied portfolios and risk within consumer lending products to optimise strategy with exposure to advanced analytical techniques and senior stakeholder management.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be tasked with the development of portfolio analytics, performance forecasting the advancement of credit decisions.
  • You are tasked with providing senior stakeholders with analysis/insight for improvements to products, application, credit risk strategy, collections strategy and operations.
  • Provide insight to set the expectation for portfolio and segmentation trends via targeted analysis, forecasting and the advance of regular MI.
  • Improvement and monitoring of the business Credit Risk Appetite framework and the duty of reviewing all metrics, approximating forecasts and trends.
  • Develop and enhance credit risk strategy/policy capabilities within the organisation.
  • You will engage with your team to deliver products, change agenda and enhance internal reporting.

Requirements:

  • Experience of credit risk/analytic roles within the mortgage space.
  • Have a solid knowledge and hands-on experience of using analysis software (SAS/R/Python).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey methodological information to non-technical members of the team.
  • Statistical background to enable reporting production and model development.
  • University Degree in Mathematics, physics, economics, statistics or computer science.
  • Be self-motivated and able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment.
