With seven offices across the UK they offer the only true one-stop turnkey solution in the market; encompassing everything from commercial design, interior design, specialist building services, manufacturing and tailored advanced asset management solutions.
Their client list includes high profile restaurant chains, large corporate headquarters, schools, colleges and universities, individual restaurants and hotel groups.
Backed by private equity the business operates in a highly fragmented market; the management team have successfully grown the business both organically and by acquisition and have ambitious plans for the future.
Key to the delivery of their strategic plans and next stage of development will be the appointment of a high calibre Finance Director to work alongside the Group CEO.
Working closely with senior management, external advisers, stakeholders and investors, the Group Finance Director of will add value to the strategic direction, commercial and operational performance, funding and growth of the business whilst remaining hands on and familiar with the financial detail of the company.
They will drive development of, operational systems and procedures across the business, together with commercial oversight of contracts and client relationships. Technical financial expertise will be a given and the Finance Director will be fully responsible for the fiscal stewardship of the business. More importantly they will strive to improve operational efficiency and financial performance, providing timely accurate financial information together with meaningful commercial analysis and forecasts to provide pro-active advice and stewardship to the executive management.
The Group Finance Director will also support all corporate finance activity across the business and be the driver of acquisitive growth.
The business has a strong culture; the successful candidate will have the drive, ambition and “commercial nous” to support the CEO and help him drive the business forward but they must also retain the integrity, prudence and self-awareness required in the fiscal management of the company’s affairs.
They will be a self-starter with a can-do mind-set, a passion for adding value and “going the extra mile” to support the CEO and Executive Management; challenging where necessary, always in an appropriate manner, and working to drive forward ongoing improvement across the business.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant and experienced Finance Director; a natural leader with the communication skills, credibility and gravitas to influence at Board level and throughout a diverse business.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to identify commercial initiatives, drive operational improvement and business performance in a similar role. Sector knowledge of engineering/manufacturing/contracting and exposure to growth via M&A would be advantageous.
This is a fabulous opportunity in a successful, ambitious business with clear plans. The position will carry a base salary of £six figures and will offer a real opportunity for wealth creation via equity participation together with bonus, private health and pension.
