We are working with a large FMCG business based in London who are looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller to cover maternity for around 4-5 months. This role is very key within the relatively small group. Whilst there are some small performance management requirements this role is mostly around Financial Accounts. Very complex group consolidations which are currently problematic due to a carve out and a new system. Working with third party consultancy and external auditors. SAP has been implemented and a large part of this role is to ensure communication with the team leading on this project - this is not a programme management role but it is important due to what the business is currently going through.
A small number of direct reports, senior accountants and analysts but a large number of dotted line reports of around 40-50 who will need guidance and support. Adhoc and numerous issues will have to be managed, these will come from different countries, split into 6 business units.
The successful applicant will come from an FMCG background, worked for a complex and large business, preferably have an understanding of SAP or large project implementations.
Culturally the requirements are simply a can do attitude.
