Accountable Recruitment are pleased to be working exclusively with a prestigious SME based in North Wales who are seeking to appoint a Finance Director. Since inception the business has gone from strength to strength and has enjoyed a period of continued growth and expansion. With plans for further growth, new market penetration and new products the time has come to add an experienced and commercially focussed finance director to the leadership team.

Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities of the Finance Director include:

  • Full financial responsibility for the organisation
  • Oversee the timely and accurate provision of monthly management accounts and provide strategic analysis to the Board
  • Governance and strategic leadership including commercial support across the business
  • Financial health and sustainability
  • Best-practice controls, policies and assurance

Essential experience includes

  • A track record of delivering organisation-wide provision of all aspects of financial management
  • Leadership and management of finance and wider commercial influence
  • A strong track record of financial and corporate governance and risk management.
  • Ideally have significant understanding of Brand / Brand Equity and the importance of this within the pricing, marketing and profitability results of an organisation
  • Leading, developing and evaluating financial feasibility studies for new markets, new products, general return on investment marketing spend
  • Experience of export markets and overseas distribution channels
  • Providing effective financial and business advice and support to the Directors, Board and senior leadership team
  • Development and implementation of efficient and accessible management information, KPI tracking and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated track record in mentoring/managing other individuals and acting as a strong business partner in a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with confidence and gravitas to build relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues,
  • Experience of reviewing contracts & terms and conditions ahead of any required commercial / legal negotiation or assessment
  • Self-motivated and proactive in terms of professional development
  • Strong IT / ERP experience to assist with driving back office and wider business efficiencies
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
