CFO - PE Backed IT Services Company - Yorkshire
Our client is a market leading and high growth IT services company focusing on the SME marketplace. The business has grown rapidly over the last few years doubling both personnel and revenues servicing a fast-growing addressable market estimated to be worth c£2.2bn. Private Equity backed by a leading international PE fund, the business is looking to appoint a commercial, hands-on CFO who will bring rigour and structure to the finance function.
As a business partner to the CEO, key responsibilities will include banking (a refinancing is planned in 2019), liaison with external shareholders and end to end KPI and financial reporting. The ability to deliver transparency and visibility of business performance through commercial analysis, budget setting, financial controls, cost control, forecasting and monitoring KPIs will be paramount. You will play a full part in business planning, strategy development and commercial input on sales and marketing initiatives, such as pricing, as well as developing robust financial models to allow the business to operate at its optimum efficiency. International expansion is planned during the current investment lifecycle and M&A will be considered on an opportunistic basis, both of which will need strong support from finance.
We are looking for a highly ambitious, energetic, qualified accountant with experience of operating as a stanalone FD or strong number two in the IT, telco or retail sectors ideally, or a proven PE CFO who has been through an investment lifecycle or worked in a leveraged environment where we are more sector agnostic. You will have a demonstrable track record in the development and application of KPIs with excellent financial and management reporting skills. You must be highly analytical in nature coupled with an informal and dynamic style with a willingness to roll your sleeves up to get things done. You will have the desire and ability to add value whilst also challenging colleagues in an effective and appropriate way to facilitate good decision making. A real team player who can work effectively at all levels within the business with strong leadership and people development skills. The ideal candidate will have a track record in Private Equity.
