CMA Executive has been retained exclusively to recruit for a newly created Finance Director position working for a fast growing property business based near Chichester. Well established, with strong values and highly respected, this business ensures that its people are at the heart of everything they do. Involved in a broad spectrum of development schemes they are well positioned for significant growth in both the short and medium-term. This newly created Finance Director role will be responsible for ensuring that the back office functions and systems are robust and efficient to support the strategic growth plans. The Finance Director will have the autonomy to develop funding plans, financial reporting and project analysis required to drive the business growth. Reporting to the Managing Director and an active member of the Board key responsibilities will include:
*Creating and developing the growing finance department
*Evaluating and advising on the impact of long-term development plans
*Developing and driving the strategic growth plans for the business
*Delivering a long-term funding strategy
*Providing a tax efficient structure to support the shareholder's objectives
*Providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets and key projects
*Improving systems and developing systems to create efficiencies
*Ensuring compliance with all statutory obligations and effective internal controls are in place
*Advising and supporting the Board's key decisions
*Liaising with third party advisors
The successful candidate will be a driven, ambitious and highly commercial qualified accountant (ACA/ACA/CIMA) with an exceptional track record of achievement and several years' financial leadership experience within either the construction or civil engineering industry. With an approachable leadership style and the ability to influence you will be adept at building consensus based on a high-level of integrity and results orientation. Possessing humility and strong communication skills you will have a proven ability to build a high performance finance team. With excellent IT, financial modelling and problem solving skills together with a strong eye for detail, you naturally strive for continuous improvements and efficiencies. Considered by peers as a reliable trusted advisor you will have a demonstrable track record of providing sound commercial advice, identifying business opportunities and risks. Can-do and hands-on, you will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
