This key role forms part of the senior team based at its head office in South Wales where it has a highly skilled workforce operating to stringent standards of health & safety. It is essential that world-class systems and processes are an integral part of the business and the focus of this role is to deliver this. You will take responsibility for the dissemination of modern health & safety practices throughout the business increasing the momentum of behavioural safety awareness through a combination of training effective communications and world-class systems and processes.

Reporting directly at board level the position calls for an accomplished and well proven health & safety professional with real in-depth experience covering the construction, infrastructure and process sectors including power generation, waste processing or renewables. You will have formal qualifications to degree level in an engineering discipline supplemented by a professional career within the health & safety field and appropriate IOSH credentials. Your experience will have been gained within a recognised blue chip process or construction industry environment with demonstrable success in the implementation, maintenance and development of a full behavioural based health & safety policy throughout the workforce and operations of large project based organisations. In personal terms you will be able to demonstrate leadership and advocacy within the health & safety discipline, able to positively influence not just junior health & safety professionals but also the workforce and management colleagues in the pursuance of the highest standards of health & safety practice.
