Our client is a rapidly expanding division of a leading international engineering group, focused on the delivery of significant major projects in the power station, waste to energy plant, nuclear, oil and gas, marine and pressure vessel markets. It has an excellent global reputation for its work in these demanding, time and safety critical sectors. There is a heavy accent on fabrication and structural work which is carried out to the stringent standards and welding codes dictated by the relevant sector and inspection authorities with a significant volume of NDT and high demands with regard to the traceability of process, personnel and uniformity of materials. This key role carries responsibility for the quality function in the company including the monitoring and application of quality practice across the division’s projects and involving a combination of work at plant manufacturing level and on-site with project leaders. Reporting into Board level, working closely with senior Project Managers and leading an experienced team of quality specialists, this is a hands-on role with close involvement with manufacturing process, material conformity, welder accreditation and liaison with the relevant inspection authorities and client representatives. The ideal candidate will already be operating in a similar quality management role within our client’s sectors, power stations and pressure vessels experience being particularly relevant. You will be a strong team leader and motivator and have specific knowledge, relevant qualifications and experience of the Quality Standards and best practices pertinent in these sectors. Fabrication, complex projects and international experience are all important and you will need the flexibility to travel and work internationally as required.
