Multiple Projects in the Power Generation and High Voltage Distribution Sectors

A career development role within the growing UK division of an International group

Our client is the successful and rapidly growing UK division of an international engineering company which has active project involvement as prime or major sub-contractor on a number of UK power generation and energy related projects ranging from complete new build through to major refits and upgrades. The order book is expanding as a result of recent successful market entry and the commitment of a new parent group which has provided significant backing and international presence to an aggressive and fully supported marketing programme, addressing the long term sector requirement for new reliable and flexible power generation and distribution capability. This role will involve joining a high performing team of multi-discipline Project Engineers and working across a broad geographic spread of activity with a strong focus on energy infrastructure projects and working within a culture which is very proactive and delivers on time and to budget. You will have a professional engineering background, Chartered Status and specific experience of projects involving high voltage generation, switching, protection and distribution. Ideally educated in electrical or control engineering with a graduate or equivalent background, you will be familiar with operating procedures, safety criteria, switching authorisations and permits to work in this highly regulated sector. Your experience may well have been gained within the power generation industry, high voltage distribution or high energy usage industrial sectors such as metal refining, heavy process or extractive industries. This role is a superb opportunity for a high voltage, electrically trained industry professional to join an expanding organisation which has the large group resources, financial support and commitment to ensure success. You will be on an upward trajectory in your career, full of ambition and welcome the opportunity for career development that this group offers. Your base will be South Wales and you will be expected to travel on site to projects in the UK and potentially overseas. The benefits package is very competitive and should be attractive to those with the ability and drive for career growth that this role demands.
