Our client is a high profile and commercially run public body operating at arms length of Government. We are looking to appoint an interim HR Director in a key strategic leadership role as the organisation embarks on a new phase with a new CEO.

As a member of the Senior Management Team and reporting to the newly appointed CEO, you will work with them to deliver the business strategy by: 

  • Developing the delivery model for the organisation and the organisational capability to make it work
  • Delivering business change
  • Delivering the People Strategy and its underpinning plan
  • Setting the strategy to attract, develop and motivate talented people to achieve
  • Embedding the people agenda at all levels of the organisation

You will also be expected to play an active role in Civil Service HR across government and ideally have an appreciation for operating within the Civil Service.

Some of the key responsibilities are: 

  • Lead on a broad range of people related work streams to ensure the organiation has an engaged, skilled and flexible workforce and the organisational capability to deliver it's strategic objectives as set out in the Functional Plan
  • Play a full part as a senior member of Civil Service HR community contributing to its development as a profession
  • To set the People Strategy and lead its implementation across geographically dispersed sites
  • Drive thinking on how to create an inclusive culture to develop the organisational capabilities we need to realise our ambition and enable the organisation to be a great place to work
  • Together with the SMT shape transformative change across the business to build, develop and deliver the strategic capabilities to meet its ambition
