BMI are on a transformational journey involving the creation of a new Digital Lab / Tech Hub, employing some of the best tech talent out there. A business critical hire, the Head of Application Services will become a vital piece of that new digital and IT team.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Director, the BMI Group are seeking to appoint a business focused and experienced Head of Application Services responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all application service domains.

The Role:

  • Will sponsor, drive and manage the full applications standardisation and rationalisation programme whilst reducing operational risk and improving the overall customer journey.
  • Will own and run the diverse application portfolio with the third party vendor whist assuring optimal performance, cost and service.
  • Will provide strategic and operational governance across the service delivery team whilst proactively driving the sharing of best practices and learning of service ownership across the global IT organisation.

The Person:

  • A well-rounded and commercially astute leader; able to embrace ambiguity and work under pressure whilst prioritising key business issues.
  • A proven track record of excellence across large-scale, business-critical IT applications delivery with experience of working in a multi-vendor IT sourcing environment.
  • A team player with exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution and stakeholder management; able to build strong relationships internally and externally.
